Randy & Jennifer's Wedding ~ 11.21.2010

This wedding was very special, in a lot of ways, but 3 in particular. To start, it was my first wedding to photograph as the main and only photographer. I am so thankful I got the opportunity to capture this day, and I had so much fun doing it.
Secondly, the couple had to change thier ceremony and reception location the night before the wedding. No, you read that right.. the NIGHT BEFORE THIER WEDDING DAY! It was a scramble to get people notified, to get the new location reserved, to get a new officiant, and to basically re-work months of planning and make sure everyone was on board with a new schedule, new location, and what it was going to take to pull it off. Even my husband was called upon to go to the old location with our 2yr old daughter to direct anyone who may not have gotten the message and showed up at the original location. It was an entire family and friends effort, and you know what? I'd say we all pulled it off quite nicely. Few guests at the wedding really gave much thought to a change in venue because, thanks to the efforts or some very awesome people, the wedding went off without a hitch and it turned out to be one beautiful day. So hats off the the bride and grooms family and freinds for your hard work in making this day happen.
And the third reason is was so special? Well, that would be, because the new location was at Camp Belzer. This Camp Belzer. Yeah, the one that burnt to the ground just 2 days after the wedding. This couple's wedding was the last event to ever be held at the venue, and my images are the last to ever be taken of the place. It was a wedding for the history books, and one no one will soon forget, that is for sure. So here it is, the long awaited wedding of Randy & Jennifer!

Starting the day at the boys' house. Remnants of the night before's happenings.

The girls had a much better way to start thier day. haha

This is right before the couple saw each other for the very first time that day. Look at that beautiful smile on her face.

The bouquets.

We did the formals with the family just outside the entrance of Fort Benjamin Harrison State Park. It was a gorgeous day.

Now for some fun, wedding party style!

Get it girls!!

Ze program. If you hadn't noticed the couple's colors were Black, green, and white.

And here she comes, the beautiful bride, with a smile on her face and love in her heart.

I love it when couples cry at thier wedding.
*Want to know a little secret? I cry at weddings too. Luckily I was behind a camera, so no one notices me. haha*

It's Official! Way to go guys!

Time for the reception. Cake, punch, and dancing.

They had a single layer cake to cut, and then did cupcakes for thier guests. I have to say, they were delicious. I think Jen's mom made them if I'm not mistaken.

Thier first dance as husband and wife.

Mother & Son dance.
And the Father & daughter's dance

Wedding party fun!
This was at the very end of the night, and I just thought we had to get a picture of them in front of the fireplace with the Camp Belzer plaque. I am so glad now, that I did. I hope you guys cherish this image forever.

And here it is folks. The last image of the place. Ever.

It was such an awesome experience to be a part of your wedding guys. I love your story. It reminds me so much of my husband and I. All the best planning can not stop what is meant to be, and usually what is meant to be turns out even more awesome than what you had planned in the first place.

Mike, Aftan, and Emma at the Library

I photographed Mike and Emma last year, for a suprise Christmas present to Aftan, and I was excited to photograph them this year with Aftan joining us. If you haven't already seen them, they are a beautiful family, and I love photographing them. Since it was cold again this year, I thought I'd spare them and do pictures in the library.
Fun Flash back! Here is Mike and Emma Last year.

Now here is the whole family this year. Look how much Emma has grown!

I know Mike and Aftan don't have many pictures of them, so we had to get a few. I mean, just look at them, they're gorgeous, they totally need pictures of them.

I am so jealous of you Aftan. I wish I looked this good.

Just a fun shot I thought I'd try. Me likey.

This is one of my favorites, I totally need a picture like this of me and my little girl.

.. and this.

The weather didn't look soooo bad, so we decided to venture outside. It was so worht it. I love these images too.

Once again, Aftan you're gorgeous, please let me photograph you always. K, thanks. :)

This is Emma's stick. She found it, and was very proud of it, and she wanted a picture of her and her new found friend. Ask, and you shall recieve. This is for you Emma.

The Bustos Family at the library

This family needed some great family and christmas photo's, and since it was a tad to cold to go outside, we improvised, and headed to the Central library. In case you haven't been, the library is pretty awesome and cool, so you should definately check it out.
First up... Christmas with the Bustos family! Aren't they so adorable?!?

I had to include this one, because this face is the best. Valerie calls it her "you got me that for christmas?" face. haha

I have to admit, this is one of my favorite, baby shots I have done to date. She is such a doll.

What is up with the cool families I get to photograph? Sisterly love is so cute, and it makes me feel bad I wasn't nicer to my sister when we were growing up. These two definately have me beat.
Big sister + little sister = ADORABLE!

See how much fun, taking pictures in the library is. I love this one.

Once again, such a beautiful family.

Daddy & daughter love.. I really do love pictures like this.

And this. Jairo, you're an amazing father, and you look so darn cute with your girls.

There you have it, my day with the Bustos family at the library. Thank you so much Valerie and Jairo for coming out to see me, and letting me photograph your adorable family. You guys are such awesome parents, and I hope I get to see you again.

Candace and the girls at the IMA

Candace and her boyfriend really just wanted pictures on thier girls, and I was more than happy to go with that, but I just knew they needed at least a couple pictures with them as well. hehe

#1 Picture I smooth talked my way into. But come on, this is one of the cutest pictures, and I think you would agree Candace that is was totally worth it. :)

#2 picture I managed to get parents in. Baby steps, baby steps. haha

Now on to the girls. I swear if they ever wanted to pursue a career in modeling, they both would do wonderful. They are so beautiful.

Aww, what a memory. They did this all on thier own, I was just there to capture it.

Another one I was just there to capture. I put them right here, then while I was setting up, they did this. Perfect girls! It makes you wish all sisters were so nice to each other, I know me and my sister certainly weren't this nice. hehe

Ok, now it's time to really model. She's fierce!

Gorgeous without even trying, look at those beautiful eyes!
And just for fun, a picture of the kick's.
This was such a wonderful session. The girls were awesome, and they totally melted my heart with the way they love each other. Thank you girls, it was such a pleasure to photograph you.
