Sam, Tyler, & Braden...

Sam was a winner of our mini session giveaway, and her session was right after I found that spot with the awesome truck so I thought we'd go there. However when I pulled up, there was a crew working on the yard and I had to think quick... so we went to the field literally a few feet up the same road. It worked out perfectly! They are such a cute family, and I love little Braden's red hair.

This was shot through my rocking chair. It's hilarious.. baby behind bars!

See the red hair I was talking about... how cute!

Braden likes to play a little game of "pass the baby", so Sam & Tyler did just that, passed him back and forth.. baaaack and forth. lol You can see, he clearly loves it. :)

Cory's Senior Pictures...

For those who don't know me personally, Cory is my little brother-in-law. When I met my husband almost 7 years ago, we thought it was pretty cool that we both have little brothers less than a year apart. Now I am short at only 5' 3" and back 7 years ago, both boys were already gaining on me in height, and every year they'd stand up next to me and see if that was the year they were as tall as me. I believe they both reached their goal, 3 years ago, the year my daughter was born .. maybe she shrunk me? haha Now, they both tower over me, and have grown into little men. They aren't our "little" brother's anymore and it's both sad and scary. I did not think 7 years ago I would be taking their senior pictures, nor did I realize just how fast this day would come. It's pure craziness I tell ya!

Cory worked on the railroad this summer, so he wanted a few pictures there. (yep you can go ahead and sing the song in your head, I did. )

Then it was off to the park...

I had to get this one b/c if you know Cory, you know his phone goes off every 2 seconds. Literally. When I was trying to take this picture, which would have taken all of 3 seconds, his phone went off twice, and we'd have to reset and try again. haha

These are just for fun, because if he loves anything more than that phone, it'd be his truck. haha

Cory, you may be way taller than me now, but you're still my LITTLE brother, and I refuse to believe you're so grown now. La la la la la la.. I can't hear you. =P

Scouting locations down south..

I saw a really cool truck off the interstate on the way to do cory's senior pictures (those are up next), so on the way back, I used the ever helpful internal GPS of my husband to find it. It turned out to be an great little place, with some more fields just up the road.
A pregnant me, having my husband test a shot idea and the lighting. hehe

Then, on the other side of the interstate we found this little place. It's just a corn field with a patch of grass and a cool tree in front of it.

See the cool tree?? I like it.

Will, Maggie, & Owen...

I had the pleasure of photographing a set of adorable 9 month old twins, Will & Maggie, and their older brother Owen. We met out at Potter's Bridge in Noblesville, and luckily caught a break in the rain, just long enough to get some adorable images.

{Indianapolis Senior Photography} Richard.. aka my baby brother.

I'm a photographer, and my little brother needs senior pictures... who do you think is getting that call? ME... well, it better be me, if not I may go cry silently somewhere. lol Anyway, that's the situation I was in yesterday. My baby brother... and by BABY BROTHER I mean I was THERE the day this kid was born. Not in the room because that would just be weird and gross, but I was in the hospital, waiting in a waiting room, bugging the crap out of our older sister (as any younger sibling would do when forced to wait hours in a hospital waiting room.) and I got to see his adorable little big head only minutes after he was born. They wheeled him in a little room, and I stood there looking down at his little bundled butt with my father, and he reached up to grab my finger... awww how cute he used to be! lol Flash to 17 years (and 2 months) later and here he is going to be a senior in high school. Right on the heels of my own 10 year HS reunion! Ironic much?!? To give a bit more background, I have cried at every milestone he's passed, every new school grade he's went into, and every achievement he's had, so I prepared that day by getting tears out of the way beforehand, and I knew more would come with the editing. lol

Without drawing this out even more, here is my little baby brother... as a senior!

Kaycee + Bobby + Braxton = 3

Kaycee & Bobby are pregnant with thier first child, and are naming him Braxton. This session got off to an interesting start before it even began. I had 2 people lined up to come and assist me on this, but at the last minute neither could go. So the day of my husband ended up getting pulled away from the track to come an assist me. *gulp*
It ended up all working out though, because I call my husband Bob and/or Bobby (since his first name IS Robert)... and we had to quickly establish a Bob #1 and Bob #2 order. Once we had that down, it was smooth sailing from there, minus the two preggo's (Kaycee & Me) out in 100 degree heat!

We had the session on Bob #1's family's property. Despite the sun being full-blast-crazy, we totally rocked the session.

We managed to find a strip of shade.... and I do mean a strip. lol

But, I still used the crazy bright sun to our advantage. I wish I looked this good right now, and she's 3 months further along than I am.

What was Bob #1's must-have picture?? One with his truck of course, so we made it happen.

Kaycee's 2 must-have's were a picture with her ultrasound...

and the baby love "heart over the belly" shot. Check and Check!

This one is a tad hard to see when I put them all together like this, but I took 3 shots in a row, and it ended up being pretty funny, I call it the progression of Bobby & Kaycee.

mean faces *giggles* happy faces

They were such great people, Kaycee and I ended up talking after the session forever until the Bob's got bored and started playing with thier trucks. haha. I do believe I'll be doing Braxton's newborn pictures and I can't wait, so keep your eyes out for that in the coming months.

We were nominated by you..

I found out on Tuesday, that someone nominated us for best photographer on Indy's A-list, sponsored by the Indy Channel. I was surprised and so touched that someone nominated us. I immediately filled out all my information, and the Indy Channel had my page up and accepting votes the very next day! We are currently in 37th place out of 256 photographers! That is sooooo cool, and I just know we can make it to the top 20! So I'm asking all of my fans to keep those votes coming in, and make Nine 23 one of the top 20 photographers in Indy if not #1!

A-list also provides a neat opportunity for us businesses to say "thanks" and give back for your votes and opinions, and allow us to set up Voter Deals. I think my fans are the best, so I jumped on the opportunity, and now if you you vote for us on the A-list you have a chance to get a session for $60, instead of the full $100. But be sure to nab it while it lasts because there is a limited number voter deals.

Voting end August 19th and so do the voter deals.

Help me reach 300 fans...

Just like the picture says, I'm trying to get to 300 fans on my Facebook Fanpage because it would be pretty sweet. If we can reach 300 or more fans by the end of the month (july), I will be putting all our fans' names into a drawing and picking 5 lucky people to recieve a free mini session. You read that right, FIVE free mini sessions. All you have to do to enter, is "like" our page. Pretty easy huh? Have your friends and family "like" our page, and they'll be entered too!

2nd Shooting ~ Enisha & Keith 06.04.11

Enisha and Keith had one of the most emotional weddings I have attended to date, and I felt lucky to be a part of thier day. I wish them the best of luck in their marriage and life.
